U.S. News & World Report: Obamacare repeal could cause job lock.

When the Affordable Care Act became a law, it helped give hundreds of thousands of individuals the confidence to leave jobs they did not want but kept because they needed access to employer-provided health benefits. Without being locked to a traditional permanent position, these professionals are now able to explore entrepreneurial ventures and freelance careers.

With the U.S. preparing to overhaul the nation’s healthcare system, lawmakers will need to consider how changes could undermine contingent workers and create a long-term impact on U.S. businesses.
