As workplace automation trends continue to grow, the headlines question how increased reliance on machines will impact and displace workers. But fears that automation will eliminate a lot of jobs may be considerably overstated, according to new research from Randstad.
RecruitingDaily shares findings from Randstad’s Employer Brand Research and the 2017 Randstad Sourceright Talent Trends survey that suggest businesses and talent are looking toward the future of work with greater optimism:
- just 14% of surveyed U.S. employees worry that they will be displaced by automation at work
- 30% of workers think automation will make their jobs better
- just 6% of U.S. employers believe increased automation will have a significant impact on workforce planning and shifting talent needs
