Biz New Orleans: how to grow your business.

August 6, 2019

A recent interview with Randstad Global Businesses CEO and Executive Board member Rebecca Henderson uncovers important insights for midsize businesses. One of the most interesting discoveries has to do with why growth often slows when a company reaches a certain size.

“Transforming a midsize company into an enterprise organization is one of the hardest things to do in business,” Henderson says. “Arriving at around 200 employees can be the start of a challenging and sometimes perilous time.”

Research has shown that the processes that allow companies to grow to midsize become outmoded. To continue expanding, businesses need to prioritize workforce planning and talent management. Henderson advises HR and C-suite leaders to partner closely, both internally and with outside experts.

“An in-depth human capital analysis program can help carry midsize companies through to the next level,” she explains. “It applies a combination of tech and human analysis to a company’s most pressing talent issues.”

To help support the future workforce needs of growing midsize businesses and nonprofits, Randstad Sourceright has launched the Talent Transformation Challenge. You can learn more about this competition and read the rest of Henderson’s interview online now.
