Talent communities consist of group of skilled candidates from which a company can hire engaged and interested talent quickly. Curating and nurturing a talent community of either contingent and traditional talent (or both) can lead to greater agility and lower talent acquisition costs – without compromising on quality.
JoAnne Estrada, global head of contingent workforce solutions for Randstad Sourceright's Talent Innovation Center, advises employers that “as the competition for talent grows, talent communities are clearly an effective way to achieve a competitive recruiting advantage.” The majority (73%) of employers surveyed in Randstad Sourceright’s 2019 Talent Trends research are on board with this thinking, saying that they’re investing in developing candidate pools.
This is good news for everyone: The relationships developed via a talent community can help to strengthen an employer brand and build a following, all while helping talent discover the next step in their careers.
