Randstad Sourceright launches ‘twago’ freelance management platform to accelerate client talent strategies

Randstad Sourceright, a global talent solutions leader, today announced the launch of twago, a market-leading freelance management system with more than 500,000 registered workers. Randstad’s recent acquisition of the technology platform will enable the company to accelerate clients’ freelance talent strategies and provide a more holistic and integrated way to manage their total workforce.

As a growing portion of the global workforce, freelance workers have become increasingly important to many organizations’ talent management strategies. According to McKinsey, online talent platforms could add as much as USD $2.7 trillion or 2% to global GDP by 2025. At the same time, it could add 72 million full-time equivalent positions.

As their presence grows in many businesses, HR and contingent workforce leaders have struggled with existing management platforms. Until recently, to accommodate freelancers, many organizations have had to create makeshift systems or take on a costly customized integration with their vendor management systems (VMS). The rise of freelance management systems (FMS) such as twago enables these employers to enhance talent sourcing and management with minimal effort.

“Through the twago platform, we can provide our managed services program (MSP) clients with enhanced access to freelancers. The twago architecture can be adapted to create client-branded freelance recruitment platforms seamlessly integrated with their existing VMS,” says Michel Stokvis, director of Randstad Sourceright’s Center of Expertise in Europe. “As a result, employers will be able to access flexible talent more quickly and cost-effectively. It will also lead to much greater spend transparency.”

Founded in 2009, twago is the leading platform for online talent in Europe. Employers access its prescreened freelance talent by posting projects up for bids. They can also buy services at a fixed price or hourly rate. Freelancers anywhere in the world bid on projects through twago’s online portal or deliver services at a predetermined rate. Fast and easy, twago has become a truly global exchange for employers and freelance workers. By leveraging the platform’s powerful sourcing and project management capabilities, Randstad Sourceright will be able to deliver end-to-end freelance management services as part of its MSP solutions. Easy integration means organizations will be able to easily extend their employer branding strategies and attract the best freelance workers.

Stokvis says, “As more employers embrace the gig economy, they will need a powerful tool to help them manage this growing part of their workforce. Our twago platform offers all the important features they need, including easy integration, end-to-end management, access to a huge, qualified talent pool and complete process transparency.

“Connected to our central talent analytics hub, TalentRadar, the integration of freelance with other workforce data will provide total talent visibility and enable integrated workforce planning and forecasting. With the goal to drive greater business agility, this will give HR and procurement a powerful platform to plan for and select the right worker for each role, regardless of worker type across permanent headcount, contingent, SOW or freelancer,” Stokvis adds.
