As businesses recover from COVID-19, there is an opportunity to improve upon earlier processes: to make decisions based on data, particularly when it comes to workforce strategy and planning. You can not only use data to hire the most highly skilled candidates, but also to meet diversity goals as well.
“Companies are looking for ways to convert ever-increasing amounts of data into valuable insights, particularly with regards to how they acquire and utilize talent and promote diversity and inclusion within their organizations,” writes Rebecca Henderson, CEO for Global Businesses and executive board member of Randstad.
According to Randstad Sourceright’s 2021 Talent Trends Report, talent analytics is one of the top 10 areas on which human capital leaders should focus this year. Data visualization tools can give companies the information they need to assess the current state of their workforce and plan ahead.
“Yet simply investing in these technologies is just the first step for organizations looking to take a more data-driven approach to their talent strategy,” writes Henderson. “Beyond adopting the technologies, human capital leaders must provide talent analytics and digital fluency training broadly across their organizations so that employees feel able and empowered to incorporate the insights into their workflows.”
