Staffing Industry Analysts: demand jumps for clinical research associates.

According to Randstad Sourceright’s U.S. COVID-19 talent impact analysis report, there has been a drop in demand for most job roles since the outbreak of the coronavirus. Clinical research associates and trial managers, however, are in high demand as pharmaceutical firms race to develop treatments and vaccines.

The report analyzes data from a wide range of sources, including the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the World Health Organization, job boards, career sites and social media postings, to find out for which skills organizations are still hiring and what attracts talent most right now.

The report also highlights growing demand for assistant store managers, financial consultants and insurance underwriters, but sees shrinking demand for customer service professionals, engineers and automotive workers.

“The economic slowdown brought about by the pandemic has forced companies to focus on what jobs and skills are truly essential and most valuable to their businesses,” said Sue Marcus, regional president at Randstad Sourceright North America.
