the challenge

Thoughtworks and Pacsoft approached Randstad Sourceright with a 3-month fixed-term project, to fill around 30 roles. The challenges were different for each of them. Thoughtworks found it challenging to find candidates with adequate English skills and their roles required frequent traveling. Pascoft’s brand on the other hand is not so well-known in the local market and their internal process also posed some difficulties in terms of speed and agility.

the solution

In order to tackle the difficulty of English requirements for the roles, we decided that for Thoughtworks, we would approach candidates from big IT companies like Oracle, IBM and Microsoft. Additionally, we targeted young candidates that most likely would not have family engagements already and would be comfortable with traveling more for work. For Pascoft, which locally is a relatively new, not well-known company, we decided to attract candidates with the message that they would have the chance to develop themselves based on the expertise of IBM - as the founder of Pascoft is from IBM. Furthermore, we made sure that we have experienced, senior recruiters working on the role, to ensure a smooth and timely delivery.

key results

We have successfully fulfilled 30 roles for Thoughtworks within 3 months and 20 roles for Pascoft in cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Xi An. With the new recruits, both companies were able to expand their business and move forward with their enterprise.
