What will the world of work look like post COVID-19? This is a question organizations of all sizes have been asking, as they make plans to bring employees back to work sites and strategize for business recovery.
The shift to remote working is one of the biggest trends we have seen during the pandemic and this trend will likely continue, as organizations now recognize the financial benefits of a virtual workforce.
And with remote work becoming the new normal, businesses will be in an accelerated race to digitize for business continuity. “Technology adoption is pivotal, and those organizations that successfully upskill their employees in using digital solutions are more likely to thrive in a post-COVID-19 world,” writes Wesley Connor, global head of learning and development of Randstad Enterprise Group.
Connor also predicted that there will be a shift in organizational hierarchy where local managers will make critical business decisions. Companies will also need to rethink their talent strategies and focus on how they will get work done, ensuring that decisions are aligned with organizational values and employee needs.
