Randstad Sourceright expands investments in Japan to meet demands for advanced talent models and new technologies.

New technology platforms and advanced talent models combine global expertise and local knowledge to deliver transformative hiring strategies for global companies

TOKYO, May 15, 2018 — Randstad Sourceright, a world-leading talent solutions provider, today announced it has expanded investments in Japan, including new leadership appointments, cloud-based technology platform Talent Velocity, and the extension of direct sourcing capability to tackle the market’s growing talent scarcity concern.

James Cox has been named Japan country head of Randstad Sourceright. With extensive experience in talent outsourcing and recruitment, Cox will lead the team to help customers redefine their talent models through the integration of all talent types and enabled by cutting-edge technology. He will also drive the company’s candidate generation and engagement strategy in Japan to enhance direct sourcing capability to Randstad Sourceright’s customers.

“Japanese businesses are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their approach to talent acquisition and management. 62% of companies in Japan we surveyed said talent acquisition strategy is more about total value creation for the company than it is about cost savings. To meet evolving market demands, Randstad Sourceright is rapidly growing its team and expanding its solutions,” said Anthea Collier, managing director, APAC of Randstad Sourceright. “We have won many new clients in Japan over the past 12 months and a significant contingent workforce (MSP) program recently went live in April. I am excited to welcome James to our team, who will help accelerate the reach and breadth of our services in Japan and drive total talent solutions for our customers.”

In addition to new leadership appointments, Randstad Sourceright has also developed Talent Velocity, a cloud-based platform that provides companies with global access to Randstad Group’s advanced HR and talent analytics technologies. Talent Velocity builds on Randstad Sourceright’s proprietary TalentRadar analytics platform, which translates raw data, market trends and industry insights into predictive talent acquisition and retention strategies that help organizations solve difficult recruiting and business challenges.

“Half of the talent leaders we surveyed in Japan said that employers’ expectations of talent continually grows, while 60% agreed that talent analytics play a critical role in sourcing, attracting, engaging and retaining talent,” said James Cox, Japan country head of Randstad Sourceright. “With severe skills shortages in Japan, Talent Velocity will help our clients enhance hiring quality and efficiency as it allows companies to better manage their hiring processes, improve candidate experience, collect business intelligence and drive overall growth.”

Talent Velocity will bring together the following HR technologies for the Japanese market:

  • CRM and recruiting marketing platform
  • on-demand video interviewing and scheduling software
  • workforce reporting and people analytics
