Human Resource Executive: talent strategy is critical to driving value.

February 8, 2019

In a growing global economy, companies have come to see talent as a true differentiator. It’s a critical factor that creates value for the organization as a whole.

“If your organization is not able to attract, develop and retain new skills, it will almost certainly fall behind,” says Rebecca Henderson, CEO of Randstad Sourceright. Our recently released 2019 Talent Trends research shows that HR leaders believe their role in “building nimble workforces and constructing holistic talent models is more critical than ever.”

To create that agility, talent leaders cannot just focus on filling jobs, but must rather think about how to best get the work done. This total talent approach, where employers holistically consider both permanent and contingent talent – is being driven by market factors such as talent scarcity, the skills gaps, legislation and more. Three-quarters of leaders surveyed by Randstad Sourceright reported that they plan to implement a total talent model this year.
