HRDive: talent leaders, job seekers disagree on candidate experience.

Talent scarcity and the skills gap have made hiring more complex than ever before. But in the rush to attract new workers, are companies damaging their candidate experience? And if they are, do they even realize that this is happening?

Recent Talent Trends data from Randstad Sourceright shows that 77% of talent leaders think their candidate experience is either excellent or very good. Conversely, 84% of working professionals report that they have had a negative experience while job hunting, with 52% saying they had more than one negative encounter.

Fortunately, there are many ways that companies can deploy a thoughtful approach to the candidate experience in today’s talent-scarce market. Strategies range from developing a talent-centric employer brand to balancing HR tech with a human connection across diverse talent pools.
