HR Dive: recruitment process quality matters to candidates.

A company’s recruitment process is integral to the quality of the candidate experience. The process can provide insight into what the employee experience might be like as well. Whether it’s smooth and easy, carefully thought out, or somewhat lacking, prospective employees consider this a larger indication of the company’s people management strategies.

In today’s talent-driven market, having a positive recruiting process is especially important. Employers and candidates, however, don’t necessarily agree on what that process is or should be.

2019 Talent Trends research from Randstad Sourceright found that 77% of talent leaders rated their company’s recruiting process as “excellent” or “very good.” But that sentiment is in direct opposition to candidates’ perceptions. In fact, 84% of those surveyed claimed to have had negative job search experiences.
