The jobs story in the U.S. continues with July 2018 BLS unemployment numbers coming in at another historic low. While job gains were modest, with only 157,000 positions added, employers continue to seek new sourcing and recruitment strategies. And some talent leaders even say their search for the ideal candidate has become a wish list item over the past several months, rather than a reality.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Hary Bottka, senior vice president at Randstad Sourceright, shares additional insights on the topic. Botta explains that companies are increasingly thinking about converting contingent talent to permanent employees to alleviate talent scarcity challenges. Creative recruitment solutions like this continue to emerge, despite what might lie on the horizon. As of yet, neither inflation, wage stagnation nor global trade concerns are slowing down the demand for high quality talent who are open to new opportunities.
