let's find that
the situation.
As one of the world's premier brands in athletic apparel,
this global giant operates in more than 100 countries.
With a significant presence in Brazil — the 2016 Olympics
generated tremendous business opportunities for the
company — it needed a more effective and efficient way
to recruit talent for its 30 retail locations across 20 cities
in Latin America's most populous country. The company
faced a number of recruitment challenges because the
market is diverse and complex, and marked by significant
seasonal swings in hiring volumes. Additionally, unique skills
requirements (a love of sports combined with point-of-sale
experience) and the remote locations of some stores added
to recruiting complexity.
The company previously implemented a local recruitment
solution that fell short of its expectations, mainly because
it didn't deliver the full breadth of services encompassed
within end-to-end programs. As a result, the apparel
maker wasn't able to achieve the transformational goals
it envisioned, which included process redesign and
standardization in Brazil. Furthermore, it failed to reach its
objectives for time to hire, retention and costs.
Realizing it needed a better recruitment solution, the
company partnered with Randstad Sourceright to roll out a
comprehensive RPO, spanning from recruitment marketing,
to sourcing and screening, to talent analytics. In addition
to realigning processes and implementing world-class best
practices, Randstad Sourceright was also asked to provide
expertise on — and access to — various HR technologies to
enhance outcomes.

the
solution.
To address the company's critical concerns, Randstad
Sourceright identified the challenges that blocked the
organization's ability to find the right candidates, including
scarcity of the required candidate profiles for 20 cities.
From there, an audit of its existing recruitment process was
conducted to identify gaps and technology deficiencies
that caused delays in hiring. The organizations also
jointly examined the reasons for the high turnover rate,
determining that the screening and sourcing of candidates
needed improvement.
Once the assessment was completed, Randstad Sourceright
designed a program that specifically addressed the company's
recruitment and cost requirements. Not only did it help the
athletic apparel maker realign its processes, but it also created
a high level of buy-in from internal stakeholders, creating
confidence in the solution.
Randstad Sourceright then supported the client in
transforming its internal processes. Initiatives such as a
relaunch of the company's local career site, development of
recruitment marketing campaigns and a focus on employer
branding were implemented. This enabled the company
to maintain a continuous pipeline of active and passive
candidates to help meet an annual goal of 440 hires.
Implementation of Randstad Sourceright's TalentRadar
predictive analytics allows the company to make hiring
decisions based on data.
Within the three months following implementation, the
RPO is achieving impressive marks for its performance. The
fill rate is 91%, with a retention rate of 97% for new hires.
Of the organization's hiring managers surveyed, 55% rate
the program as good, while 45% call it excellent. Among
candidates, the satisfaction rate is 90%, helping to enhance
the company's employer brand and, in turn, potentially
having a positive impact on its consumer brand.
