Recruiter.com: digital tools will be key to post-pandemic hiring.

COVID-19 has accelerated the shift toward what was already an increasingly digital marketplace. Remote workforces expanded exponentially. Companies were forced to pivot and transform their business practices. Some have found themselves thriving in this new working world, despite the lingering challenges.

According to “The COVID-19 surveillance report,” a new survey from Randstad Sourceright, 71% of talent leaders expect to carry their new workplace processes into the future. Yet, many remain concerned about their ability to recruit and hire employees as staffing needs begin to increase over the coming months.

“Technology will be crucial for businesses that are continuing to hire new talent in the midst of the pandemic,” writes Mike Smith, newly appointed CEO of Randstad Sourceright. This includes virtual interviewing, online recruiting events, textbots and chatbots, virtual onboarding and other tools that can reduce both cost and time to fill.

“The implementation of this technology has also given employers the ability to recruit the best candidates from anywhere in the world,” continues Smith. “No longer bound to hiring candidates who live within a commutable distance of the office, employers can now access a whole new pool of qualified talent. Investments in digital tools that make this process easier will set employers up for success now and once hiring picks up again post-pandemic.”
