Get Yourself the Job: empowering women at work.

December 11, 2017 Audra Jenkins

Audra Jenkins, chief diversity and inclusion officer with Randstad North America, was recently featured on LA Talk Radio’s "Get Yourself the Job.” She and host, Jennifer Hill, discussed the current state of women in the workforce.

Listen in to learn more about Hire Hope, a Randstad community outreach program that provides career training and placement services for underserved and at-risk women.

“For us, having a female CEO, it was important to see how we could impact women in the communities we serve,” Jenkins said. “Many of our client partners are also heavily involved. I’m very proud of the work we have done. We are making a difference.”

During the half-hour segment, Jenkins also noted that while women are making some gains in the workforce, there is still a long way to go. “At Randstad, we talk about pay expectations, understanding the role and the marketplace. It’s important for women to do their research, know what they are worth, and are aware of the prevailing wages for their skill set.”
