TechRepublic: automation success will depend on workforce training.

Three out of four American workers say they aren’t concerned that their jobs will be replaced by robots, TechRepublic reports, sharing findings from the 2017 Randstad Employer Branding Research. According to the study, 30% expect these technologies to improve their current jobs, and more than half of workers say they are willing to retrain or upskill in order to work with automation and AI if their pay remains the same.

What does this mean for employers? Reporting findings from the 2017 Randstad Sourceright Talent Trends survey, TechRepublic highlights that U.S.-based businesses look to the future of workplace automation with similar optimism. And while AI is expected to replace certain tasks that are currently handled by humans, the surge of new technology is likely to create demand for new skills and human talent in the future.
