CIO Magazine: why human interaction is the ‘killer app’ for recruiters

While automation in the workplace may be causing some anxiety around what tasks machines will take on, there will always be a need for humans in sourcing and recruiting. Jason Roberts, global head of Technology and Analytics for Randstad Sourceright’s Talent Innovation Center, shares insights with CIO Magazine on why recruiters must focus their energy on higher-value, high-touch activities to help attract and retain the best talent while letting technology support the process.

“The person who can convince a candidate to take their job through engagement, through human interviews, through personal connection, branding, advertising and creative, and a great employee value proposition — they win," Roberts says.
